To prepare for the new school year, all our children are invited to “Blessing of the Backpacks”, which will take place during each of the services on Sunday, August 24. The beginning of the new school year is an exciting time for students, teachers and parents, a time filled with opportunity and promise. What better way to prepare than to pray God’s presence and receive a gift symbolizing the prayers of the community? This year’s gift will be a special one the kids will treasure all year (or at least the rest of the day!)
Teachers, Moms and Dads, don’t feel left out! We can include briefcases, purses, and bookbags, too!
